What to Expect During Your Solar Installation
From pre-installation prep to aftercare, warranties and support.
What we install
Each installation is different depending on what you choose for your home. However, your solar installation may include:
Solar panles

Solar PV panels installed on your roof. The amount depends on your preferences and the space available.

An interverter
An inverter converts the solar energy your panels generate into usable electrical current. This may be installed in your garage, on external walls or in a utility room.
A battery storage system, if you opt for one. This may be installed in your garage, on external walls or in a utility room.

Before we arrive
Pre-installation preparation
Pre-installation prep is minimal; we simply ask that you:
Ensure clear access to all internal and external work areas.
We'll tell you where we need access to ahead of the installation.
Clear the space around the proposed inverter and battery locations.
We'll tell you where these will be ahead of the installation.
Secure pets and keep children away from work areas.
Ensure an adult (18+) is present to give us access to your home and for the system handover.
Installation process
Scaffolding assembled
Solar panels installed
Electricals installed
Cables connected
Scaffolding will be erected where required for safe access.
Solar panels will be installed using industry-approved mounting systems. Some noise can be expected during this time.
Electrical equipment will be installed internally, typically in your loft, garage, utility room or similar location.
Cabling will be installed between the roof and electrical equipment. The system will be connected to a new customer unit (fuse board), which is separate from your existing board.
Installation typically takes 2 - 3 days, depending on system size, property type and weather conditions.

Minimal disruption
We aim to keep disruptions minimal, however, during installation, you may experience:
Short interruptions to your electricity supply.
Increased noise during drilling or fixing.
Temporary use of driveway or garden space for equipment and materials.
After installation
What to expect after your system has been installed.
System commissioning
Clean up work areas
Your system will be fully tested and commissioned.
All work areas will be left clean and tidy.
Give you a walkthrough
Remove scaffolding
We'll explain how to use and monitor your system.
We'll remove the scaffolding once everything is complete.
Warranties, audits and ongoing support
Solar PV & battery systems include manufacturer warranties.
Warranties vary by manufacturer - speak to one of our team members for more information on this.
Ongoing support will always be available after installation if you need it.
