Benefits
How solar panels and battery can benefit you
Self-generated energy
You're generating your own energy, reducing your bills and protecting you from future energy price increases. The Government estimates you could save around £500 per year.
Unused energy can be sold back to the national grid
You can sell any unused energy back to the national grid through the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG).
Renewable energy source
It's a form of renewable energy, meaning your energy usage is more environmentally-friendly.
Minimal maintenence
Once installed, minimal maintenance is required, reducing hassle and maintenance costs.
Why us?

We're members of EPVS, giving you extra confidence in our installations.
EPVS is a certification standard that verifies the accuracy of calculations for energy-saving measures, renewables, and battery storage, and checks that installers (us) follow robust processes and documentation. It helps protect consumers and promotes high standards across the industry.

We're members of HIES, giving you extra peace of mind.
HIES is a consumer protection scheme for solar and battery installations. It sets standards for how we quote and sell, and gives you extra peace of mind with deposit protection, an insurance-backed guarantee, and independent help if there’s ever a dispute (subject to scheme terms).
Quality workmanship, clear advice, and compliant installations across England & Wales

Hometree Finance
We are an Introducer Appointed Representative (IAR) of Hometree Finance, allowing us to introduce homeowners who are considering Solar PV and/or battery storage to Hometree’s finance options. We can help you understand the available ways to pay (e.g. spreading the cost over time), before passing you over to Hometree to complete the application and carry out any required affordability and credit checks.
All finance is provided by Hometree Finance (the lender/finance provider), and is subject to eligibility, terms and conditions. You should consider whether you can afford the repayments over the full term.
Price varies, apply for your personal quote. Offers are subject to status and finance agreement. Monthly payments are subject to an annual increase of 2.5%. Missing payments could have severe consequences and make obtaining credit more difficult. Keco Energy Ltd is an introducer appointed representative of HTG Finance Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 1048376).
FAQs
Is my home suitable for solar panels?
Most homes are a great fit for solar.
To install, we usually need:
A home you own
A pitched roof in good condition
Space for at least 2 panels
A suitable electrical setup
We’ll confirm everything during your survey - so there’s no guesswork.
Do solar panels work in UK weather?
Yes, even when it’s cloudy.
Solar panels don’t need sunshine, just daylight. They’ll still generate energy year-round, just more in summer than winter.
Do I need a south-facing roof?
No, south-facing is ideal, but east and west-facing roofs still work really well.
What if my roof has leaks, damp or missing tiles?
We won’t be able to install solar panels on a roof that needs repair. We recommend that repairs are completed before progressing with a solar quote.
What is battery storage?
A battery stores excess solar energy so you can use it later - usually in the evening when electricity is more expensive.
Instead of exporting everything, you keep more of your own energy.
Why should I get a battery with my solar panels?
Batteries are great for:
Using more of your own solar energy
Reducing electricity bills further
Making the most of smart tariffs
Shifting energy use into cheaper times
How long does it take to pay for itself?
According to the Energy Saving Trust, a solar system can pay back its cost in 9–13 years, depending on where you live and how much time you spend at home.
Payback periods are affected by factors such as your household electricity use, your roof size and orientation.
How much can I save on my energy bill?
This varies depending on your home size, solar array & battery size as well as the kind of items you have at home (for example, electric heating).
